【摘要】:Thisspecificationcoverstrack-resistantblackthermoplastichigh-densitypolyethyleneinsulation.Beforeapplicationtotheconductor,theinsulationshallcomplywiththerequirementsofSpecificationD1248,TypeIII,ClassC,Category5,GradeE10,J4,orJ5.TherequirementsofSpecificationD1248shallnotapplytotheinsulationremovedfromtheconductor.Thistypeofinsulationisconsideredsuitableforuseonwireorcablethatwillbeusedforcontinuousoperationatconductortemperaturesupto75?C.Thisinsulationissuitableforuseonwireorincableusedforpowertransmissioninoverheadspaced-lineservice,installedattemperaturesabove25Candexposedtosunlightandotheratmosphericenvironmentsbetween55and+75C.Inmanyinstances,theinsulationcannotbetestedunlessithasbeenformedaroundaconductor.Therefore,testsdoneoninsulatedwireinthisstandardaresolelytodeterminetherelevantpropertyoftheinsulationandnottotesttheconductororcompletedcable.Whenevertwosetsofvaluesarepresented,indifferentunits,thevaluesinthefirstsetarethestandard,whilethoseinparenthesesareforinformationonly.
