【摘要】:1.1ThistestmethodisusedtomeasuretheheatenergytransmissionthroughmaterialsusedinprotectiveclothingandglovesthatareexposedtoaHotLiquidSplash.Thistestmethodisapplicabletowovenfabrics,knitfabrics,battings,andsheetstructureswithpermeableorimpermeablecoatingsorlaminationsintendedforuseasclothingorglovesforprotectionagainstbriefexposurestohotliquidsplashhazards.1.2Thistestmethodisusedtomeasureanddescribethepropertiesofmaterialsorassembliesofmaterialsinresponsetohotliquidsundercontrolledlaboratoryconditions.1.3Thistestmethodisapplicabletomaterialsfromwhichfinishedprotectiveapparelarticlesaremade.1.4Thistestmethodislimitedtothehotliquidtemperaturesthatare40x00B0;C(72x00B0;F)belowtheflashpointofthespecifichotliquidusedfortesting.Note18212;Specificthermallystablesiliconeliquidsareavailablewithflashpointsintherangeof315x00B0;C(599x00B0;F).Whenthesethermallystablesiliconeliquidsareused,amaximumhotliquidtemperatureof260x00B0;C(500x00B0;F)isachievable.Theintentofspecifyingthemaximumtemperatureat40x00B0;C(72x00B0;F)belowtheliquidflashpointistoreducethehotliquidfirehazardwhichincreasessignificantlyattemperaturesequaltoorabovetheflashpointoftheliquid.1.5Thistestmethoddoesnotmeasuretheflammabilityofmaterials,norisitintendedforuseinevaluatingmaterialsexposedtoanyotherthermalexposureotherthanhotliquidexposures.1.6ThevaluesasstatedinSIunitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.Thevaluesinparenthesesaregivenforinformationonly.1.7Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.SpecifichazardstatementsaregiveninSection8.
