【摘要】:Thistestmethodmaybeusedforcalibrationofspeedanddistancemeasurementsystemsusedontiretestvehiclesandtiretesttrailers,oranyland-basedvehiclethatcontactstheroadandthatusesatrailing-wheelsystemformeasurementofspeedanddistance.Thistestmethodappliesonlytohard,dry,smoothsurfacesandisnotaccurateforhighlycurvedvehiclepaths.Thistestmethoddoesnotencompassopticaltypesofdevices.1.1Thistestmethodcoversthedeterminationofvehiclespeedandcumulativedistancetraveledusingadevicetermedafifthwheelandusingappropriateassociatedinstrumentation.1.2Thistestmethodalsodescribesthecalibrationtechniqueapplicabletodigitaloranalogspeedanddistancemeasurementsystemsemployingafifthwheel.1.3ThevaluesstatedinSI(millimetre-kilogram)unitsaretoberegardedasthestandard.1.4Thisstandarddoesnotpurporttoaddressallofthesafetyconcerns,ifany,associatedwithitsuse.Itistheresponsibilityoftheuserofthisstandardtoestablishappropriatesafetyandhealthpracticesanddeterminetheapplicabilityofregulatorylimitationspriortouse.Forspecificprecautionarystatements,seeSection7.
